With the outbreak of COVID-19, global health organizations, particularly WHO, has come forth with global public health policies to counteract the significant damage due to the pandemic. The impending collapse of the socioeconomic, educational and financial system, globally, has led to a widespread panic, discrimination, dearth of resources and a marked increase in global research efforts.

This article assesses the available public health frameworks and discusses the formulation and implementation of public health inspired global frameworks to combat the progressively increasing COVID-19. WHO policies, targeting this pandemic, are thoroughly outlined, compared, examined and their possible implementation is discussed, demographically.

The proliferation of COVID-19 across Europe has caused many EU countries to increasingly come under pressure to evoke a clause in the European Union by-law allowing for the temporary closure of internal borders in emergencies. Despite the World Health Organization’s opinion that regulating borders might be unhelpful and unnecessary, far-right parties in France, Germany and Spain have called for the suspension of the Schengen Agreement.

A global consensus of economic analysts predicts that it's increasingly likely that COVID-19 will spark a global recession. Furthermore, EU countries - and many other countries worldwide - could soon be under pressure to spend huge sums of money to deal with outbreaks. This paper assesses the feasibility of border regulation for the EU and discusses the socio-economic and political ramifications of such actions.

The outbreak of novel coronavirus diseases has spread quickly in China. The COVID-19 epidemic has spread very quickly. It did not take more than 30 days to expand from Wuhan to the rest of Mainland China. To counter the potential threat, a formal investigation began on December 31, 2019, followed by a public health emergency.

In this paper, it is aimed to assess epidemiological characteristics of novel coronavirus diseases (COVID19) in China. With many people returning from a long holiday, China needs to prepare for the possible rebound of the epidemic. It should also be kept in mind, till now there is no specific treatment to coronavirus yet.

To combat viral diseases, special attention is given to vital organs of the patients so that their immune system remains intact and able to fight the infection. As no specific treatment has found for COVID-19, therefore, it is recommended to avoid the antibiotics and other drugs, in case if someone tests positive for it. However, the previous studies regarding chloroquine phosphate (chloroquine) had a wide range of antiviral effect, due to which it is recommended, yet with caution, by physicians and other health workers.

This research discusses the recommended dosage of chloroquine to treat the novel coronavirus and debates the clinical trials required for approving the use of chloroquine, as an effective drug against COVID-19, by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Over the months, as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 grew from several hundred to nearly 2 million, the epidemic turned into pandemic. In response, to statistically document the number of COVID-19 cases, a small team of statisticians at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, created an online dashboard that posts near real time updates. The dashboard team has grown from two members to a couple of dozen, and they're constantly working on adding new features. The dashboard illustrates the location and number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, deaths and recoveries for all affected countries.

In this article, it will be analyzed how efficient this dashboard is to post real time updates and the critical assessment of its working principal will also be studied.

Not all patients found positive for COVID-19, suffer through a severe illness, but only 15% of them desperately need specialized medicine along with the overwhelmed treatment. Scientists are endeavoring to find a cure specific to this virus. Several drugs such as chloroquine, arbidol, remdesivir, and favipiravir are currently undergoing clinical studies but none of them can be declared as a complete antiviral. Rather than coming up with compounds from scratch that may take years to develop and test, researchers and public health agencies are looking to repurpose drugs already approved for other diseases and known to be largely safe.

This article reviews those agents that are being widely used as a cure to novel coronavirus. It also tackles the moral issues of using STEM cell research for possible cure of COVID-19 and focuses on plasma immunization methods, to use the COVID-19 antibodies of recovered patients, to induce herd immunity.
